DESCRIPTION:What to expect on a Stand Up Paddleboarding session?\n  \nBeginning on site\, you will be issued with wetsuits\, buoyancy aids\, helmets and paddles before heading down to our boat store where we will give you a land-based board demo and instructions on how to use your paddles. It will then be a team effort to carry our SUP’s a short distance along the promenade to our own slipway into the harbour. From there we will launch the boards and start by getting to grips with paddling in a sheltered setting before we can journey further afield. Our SUP sessions are the perfect activity if you enjoy jumping in and getting wet and as well as games and challenges\, your instructors are there to teach you skills and help you to gain the confidence to be able to stand up. On return to the centre there are external changing rooms with hot showers for your use afterwards. DESCRIPTION:What to expect on an abseiling session?\n  \nBased in the dramatic setting of Berry Head Quarry\, your instructor will kit you up in a harness and helmet before giving you a safety briefing and demonstration of how the system works. You will then have a 1 to 1 coaching experience as you approach the abseil platform\, attached safely to two ropes. Your instructor will talk you through each step while keeping you secure on a safety rope\, so you can focus on being in control of the abseil rope. You will then be encouraged to take on the challenge of descending the 25m rock face down into the bottom of the quarry. It is then just a short walk back up the path to the top. SUMMARY:Abseiling
DESCRIPTION:What to expect on an abseiling session?\n  \nBased in the dramatic setting of Berry Head Quarry\, your instructor will kit you up in a harness and helmet before giving you a safety briefing and demonstration of how the system works. You will then have a 1 to 1 coaching experience as you approach the abseil platform\, attached safely to two ropes. Your instructor will talk you through each step while keeping you secure on a safety rope\, so you can focus on being in control of the abseil rope. You will then be encouraged to take on the challenge of descending the 25m rock face down into the bottom of the quarry. It is then just a short walk back up the path to the top. Participants will take part one at a time while the rest of the group can sit and watch from the top. \n  \nWhat will I need to wear?\n  \n\nSturdy footwear\nLong shorts or trousers\nT-shirt which covers your shoulders\nLong hair tied back\nRemove jewellery\nA warm layer as it can get windy up there!

SUMMARY:Coasteering
DESCRIPTION:What to expect on an coasteering session?\n  \nBeginning on site\, you will be issued with wetsuits\, buoyancy aids\, and helmets before taking a short walk along the seafront to our coasteering site. We use a couple of different sites depending on the conditions and the ability of the group. After a safety briefing\, we will begin by entering the water slowly in order to acclimatise. Sessions then include time playing in the waves\, scrambling along rocks and some swimming and jumping in. At lower tides\, you can spend some time exploring rock pools and getting up close to some of the marine life such as anemones\, crabs\, limpets and oysters. On some sessions we can be entertained by seals or maybe even some dolphins. SUMMARY:Stand Up Paddleboarding
DESCRIPTION:What to expect on a Stand Up Paddleboarding session?\n  \nBeginning on site\, you will be issued with wetsuits\, buoyancy aids\, helmets and paddles before heading down to our boat store where we will give you a land-based board demo and instructions on how to use your paddles. It will then be a team effort to carry our SUP’s a short distance along the promenade to our own slipway into the harbour. From there we will launch the boards and start by getting to grips with paddling in a sheltered setting before we can journey further afield. Our SUP sessions are the perfect activity if you enjoy jumping in and getting wet and as well as games and challenges\, your instructors are there to teach you skills and help you to gain the confidence to be able to stand up. On return to the centre there are external changing rooms with hot showers for your use afterwards. It will then be a team effort to carry your canoe the short distance to our own slipway and the water’s edge. From there we will launch the boat and start by getting to grips with paddling in a sheltered setting before we can venture further afield. Our canoes are the perfect craft for a journey around the harbour as well as for jumping in the water and playing games. Upon returning to the centre we finish with a nice hot shower. \nOur sessions are tailored to the participants needs and designed to make best use of the weather and the harbour. \n  \nWhat will I need to wear?\n  \n\n\nSwimwear under the wetsuit \n\nFootwear that you can get wet.\n\nWetsuit \, Helmet\, Buoyancy Aid and Windproof Cagoule (All provided by Grenville House)
