Ropes 12

What is it?

With both team challenges and individual challenges, our on-site High Ropes Course has a number of different roped activities we can run. There is Jacobs Ladder; an increasingly spaced apart giant wooden ladder where teams work together to get each other as high up the ladder as they can. In the middle there is the Vertical Obstacle Course, with three levels where individuals make their way along each obstacle before climbing higher to the next level. Another individual challenge is the Leap of Faith; participants climb up the wooden pole before balancing on top of the platform and then having a leap towards a hanging trapeze bar. Another team challenge we have available is the Crate Stack; where small teams work to build a tower of crates while on top of it.

What to expect on a High Ropes session?

Your instructor will begin by kitting you up in harnesses and helmets before giving you a demo and explanation as to how the belay system works. Our participants are fully involved in managing each other’s safety ropes under the supervision of an instructor. Once everyone is happy with how to belay, you will be talked through each element you will have the opportunity to try. We will then work through each activity making sure everyone gets a go on everything. Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the group so some elements maybe more suitable than others depending on ability and age.

What will I need to wear?

  • Sturdy footwear with good grip
