How To Book

We schedule a limited number of dates for each activity on our calendar. Any activity with available booking slots will be highlighted in green in the sidebar to the left. To reserve a spot on one of these scheduled activities, simply click the “Grenville House Adventure Booking” button below.
If this button is not visible, it means we have nothing currently scheduled for this activity and you will see a “Request a Booking” button instead. This will send you to a form where you can let us know which activity and date you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What is it?

A paddle craft which is very versatile; our kayaks are a sit-on-top style boat. Most of the kayaks are single person boats however we do have 3 double sit-on-tops.

What to expect on a Kayaking session?

Beginning on site, you will be issued with wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and paddles before heading down to our boat store where we will give you a land-based boat demo and instructions on how to use your paddles. It will then be a team effort to carry our kayaks a short distance along the promenade to our own slipway into the harbour. From there we will launch the boats and start by getting to grips with paddling in a sheltered setting before we can journey further afield. Some sessions lend themselves more to a journey around the harbour and a chance to spot seals, dolphins and cormorants whereas others are full of games and getting wet. You will then return to the centre where we have external changing rooms with hot showers for your use afterwards. Our sessions are tailored to the participants needs and designed to make best use of the weather and the harbour.
